Visits are scheduled kabupaten by kabupaten, so if several nearby plantations want looking at on the same trip, it costs each of them less.

We make field visits in Tanah Laut (Pelaihari), Tanah Bumbu (Batulicin), Kotabaru, Banjar (Martapura), Tapin (Rantau), Barito Kuala (Marabahan), Hulu Sungai Selatan (Kandangan), Banjarbaru, Banjarmasin. A WhatsApp question or a video consultation can come from anywhere inside South Kalimantan. Outside it we say so plainly.

We phone the local PKS and record that day’s gate price. It is not a contract price and it is not a guaranteed trade.

The PKS gate price is what the mill pays at its own gate, for fruit that has already got there, so you only receive that figure if you do the hauling and carry the sorting deduction yourself. A peron offer is what a collector offers at the roadside, with their margin and the transport already taken out. A gap between the two is normal. What is not normal is a gap much larger than that transport costs.

The determined price applies to growers inside a partnership scheme. Independent smallholders sell at the mill gate price or through a collector, which is almost always below the determined figure.

Because the price follows the producer and the order size, and it moves. A stale figure on a page does more harm than no figure. Tell us the size of your land, we go and source it, and the price and the certificate number come back together.
