The figures above are recorded from the daily reports of mills and collectors in Tanah Laut, with the reporter's name written as given.
One mill can appear more than once with different figures. That is not a recording error: each collector has its own margin and its own contract.
Every row says whether it is a PKS gate price or a collector offer, because the two differ and the difference matters to you.
Not a contract price and not a guaranteed trade. If a figure is stale, tell us off.
Reading these figures
There are two kinds of figure in the table above, and the difference is not about accuracy. The PKS gate price is what the mill pays at its own gate, for fruit that has already got there. You receive that figure only if you do the hauling, the weighing, and carry the sorting deduction. A collector offer is what a collector offers at the roadside, with their margin and the transport already taken out. The gap between the two is the price of the haulage, and it is normal for there to be one. What is not normal is a gap much larger than that haulage costs.
The Disbun Kalsel determination is a third figure again. It is set periodically for growers inside a partnership scheme, on a formula built from the K index and the CPO price. An independent smallholder is not a party to that scheme, so the determined figure is a reference, not a price you can demand. It is almost always above what is actually received in the field.
Once a price is agreed there are still the weighbridge deductions, and that is where the biggest gap often appears without anybody noticing. Which deductions are reasonable, and when a figure is worth questioning is written up separately.
