Terms and conditions
1. Scope of services
Borneo Sawit Consulting provides three things: consultation on oil palm plantation problems, as questions and answers over WhatsApp, scheduled video consultations and field visits; sourcing of certified seedlings; and other oil palm related requests that we are able to take on and have agreed with you in advance. TBS price information is published as an open service at no charge. All of it is provided for the South Kalimantan region.
2. The nature of our recommendations
All analysis and recommendations we give are technical advice based on the information and photographs you provide. We do not guarantee harvest results, increased production, or that a plant will recover. The decision to act rests entirely with the owner of the plantation.
3. The limits of a remote assessment
There is a limit to what can be assessed from a photograph. Where we judge that a problem cannot be concluded without seeing it in person, we will say so and offer a field visit. We do not give conclusions the available data does not support.
4. Rates and payment
The consultation rates in force are published on the front page. A quick question about a single problem is free of charge. Video consultations and field visits are paid for once the date is agreed, by transfer to an account in the company name. Travel costs outside the kabupaten are given to you before the date is fixed. Seedling sourcing and other requests are quoted case by case and given to you before any work begins.
5. Cancellation and rescheduling
Cancellation at least 24 hours before the scheduled time is free of charge. Cancellation after the team has set out for the location is charged the travel costs incurred. If the cancellation comes from us, everything paid is refunded in full.
6. TBS price information
The prices we publish are mill gate prices we collect ourselves. They are information, not an offer, a contract, or a guarantee that a trade will happen. The government determined price is shown as a comparison. We are not liable for losses arising from a decision to buy or sell based on the figures on this page.
7. Seedling sourcing
The seedlings we source come from licensed, labelled producers and carry a certificate number for each batch, shown to you before payment. Price and expected timing follow the producer and the size of the order, and are given to you before you decide. Availability is in the producer’s hands, so we do not promise stock or a firm date before an order is confirmed. Any claim about the condition of the seedlings is to be made within three days of delivery, with photographs.
8. Independence
We do not buy TBS, we do not sell fertiliser or pesticide, and we take no commission from any mill or collector on the recommendations we give.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated at any time. The version in force is the one on this page, together with the date it takes effect from.
10. Governing law
These terms are subject to the law of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes are to be settled by discussion in the first instance.
